While we wait....

Moe was just reeled into the surgery room. RM took a picture of Moe on the gurney. It doesn't feel normal to see your child wheeled away like that, even if it is a "simple surgery" procedure.

RM told the surgeon prior to walking into the waiting room, "I don't have spares at home, nor can I do trade-ins, so bring him back in one piece."

The surgeon laughed and replied, "You got a deal."

We're anxious for all of this to be over. It's been a 3 month ordeal. Moe's neurologist wasn't too keen on the procedure, but what other options do we have? A life spent on painkillers? We didn't think that was an option.

So now we wait and hope for the best.

Yesterday Moe talked animatedly about his future- what it would feel like to feel no pain and go on with his life.

I too am looking forward to seeing him smile and feeling pain free.

Poor Moe, he has been through a lot lately. No one wants a life of pain and constant meds. Good Doctor....he'll take good care of your boy.
