It doesn't matter- he's got more energy than most men in their 20s!
We celebrated RM's birthday several weeks ago. It was RM's first birthday since Moe was born that he was not there. But he mailed RM this birthday card:
RM read the front of the card & said, "Wow, this seems like a thoughtful card." Until he opened the card....

Moe wrote this note inside the card:
Hey Dad,
This is the 1st b-day where I'm not spending it with you.
I wish I could be there to celebrate (going out to eat)
with you & Mom.
- Love you forever,
Moe
Yup, we are lucky to have a thoughtful young man as our son.
RM & I don't give gifts to each other for our birthdays, instead we make it into a weekend of pampering. I guess that's why BOTH of us look forward to our birthdays.
Here's what we did:
- Lunch at Cheesecake Factory
- Shopping at the mall
- Dessert at our favorite bakery
- Couples Massage
- Eating really good food all weekend long
And when we were home, RM watch unlimited guilt free football with not a peep from me of how bored I was. (I love football, but I don't need to watch it all day)
I've celebrated over two decades of birthdays with RM and each one has been special and memorable.
RM deserves to have a weekend of pampering and I get to reap the benefits too!

Happy birthday to RM!
I love the idea of not doing gifts and spending the weekend of pampering!!! I think we might have to do that!
interesting blog. It would be great if you can provide more details about it. Thanks you
