An end of another season

"It does not matter how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get up." -Vince Lombardi

(Moe is number 74)

We have moved several times in the past six years and Moe has played football with five different schools; three high schools and one junior college. Moe has been a Trojan, a Scot, a Bulldog, and currently the Foothill Owls.

And in those years, he's had a torn MCL and ACL, dislocated both knees, broken tibia, and was in a leg cast for several months. When Moe broke his tibia during his junior year in high school, doctors told him he would never be able to play football- he proved them wrong.

This football season he dislocated his knee during practice and was only able to play a few games this season. Most athletes would probably quit at this point- it made Moe more determined to come out stronger.

Last Saturday was the last football game of the season. Moe watched from the sidelines with an injured knee- his team lost. It's been a roller coaster ride of emotions especially for Moe.

But quitting has never been an option for him. RM and I told him that it would be alright if he quit- he gave us this "Are you crazy?" look and proceeded to lecture US on the importance of overcoming trials and rising above it. He was definitely preaching to the choir!

Is his injuries a high price to fulfill his dream to play football? Moe doesn't think so.

Moe deserves an MVP award...just for perserverance, determination , and Will Do at all costs.
He really has had his share of injuries, and that seems so frustrating.
That kind of attitude will care him very far in life.
You got a great son.

What a great attitude! It's hard to sit on the sideline and watch your team.
