My Post-it Heart

It is exactly 4:59 on a Saturday morning and I have yet to go to bed. I've been having trouble with insomnia off and on for the past few months. So what better way to take advantage of this sleeplessness than to blog!

I took this picture a couple weeks ago and thought I would write about it. RM and I were having breakfast and he talked about how much he misses our family when he's away at work (most weeks we see him only on weekends).

I grabbed a post-it note from the kitchen counter and as I was drawing a heart on it, I said, "I'm making you a heart, so you'll know that no matter how far you are from home- you'll always have a piece of our heart with you."

RM took the post-it and placed it near his heart- we can be really cheesy.

RM never did take his post-it heart with him to work. I found it yesterday on the floor in a corner of the living room collecting dust and looking tattered.

Oh well, it served its purpose. We had a good laugh and RM felt better.

I'm sure he has a virtual heart there.

bute yes, that would be a good time to post eh. With summer and all and the lovely weather, I find myself not wanting to sit at the computer much.

I love the post it note thing. I LOVE CHEESY. Cheesy is what makes life fun and relationships spicy.

I think that's totally sweet! It can be so hard when work makes us spend so much time apart from the ones we love. I really look forward to retirement someday for my husband! I think that you and RM have a very close, sweet relationship!

Isn't that sweet? You guys are a truly connected couple in every way. Love it!

I'm sure your note warmed his heart, and your post warmed mine. Sorry about the insomnia. That can be so frustrating. You're wise to use the time constructively instead of just staring at the ceiling.
