Eighteen years ago...

I fell in love with a baby boy.

I never tired looking at his face.

He would jump into my arms and I would squeeze him really tight.

His smile would brighten my day and his laughter was always contagious.

He's become too old sit on my lap and much to big to jump into my arms.
I'm not the center of his universe anymore- he's growing up.
I'm proud of the young man he's become.
But in my heart he'll always be my little boy- no matter how old he gets.

Happy Birthday my "little boy"

What an accomplishment! 18 years of motherhood under your belt and you just keep getting better and better at it. Tell "M" a big happy birthday from Germany. I love this post...it brought tears to my eyes.

So sweet! You started my day off with 'happy tears'. All moms should be so devoted and loving. You've done a wonderful job - so far. It might seem like it, but you're not done yet!

I LOVE those photos of the two of you when he was little. They always remain our babies.
I remember when my sons went on missions----the night before taking them into the mission home, I snuck into their bedroom, sat on a chair, and just stared at them.
Trying to figure out where the years went and the MEN they would become.
he'll always be your baby
