The latest greatest news...at least in my world!

It's been awhile since I last blogged! So here's a recap:

- I haven't had much time blogging because I'm working full time! I work for a temp agency and I've been busy working on long term assignments. Now that Moe is back in school, it feels good to be working again and keeping busy.

- Moe started school last Monday at a Junior College just 30 minutes away from home. RM went to work late so he could give Moe a Father's Blessing. We continued our yearly tradition of going out to breakfast before Moe's first day of school.

- In addition to working full time, I've been busy preparing for Moe's Eagle Court of Honor. We decided to have a dinner reception afterwards- it's an excuse to throw a big party!

- I don't have to wait until the weekends to see RM! He's home Thursdays & Fridays - it makes a big difference!

- Though I work on Saturdays, RM and I are still able to go out Saturday mornings to our local cafe. It makes it easier going to work on Saturdays knowing that I still have my Saturday mornings with him.

- I took Moe to the Emergency Room last Tuesday for an asthma attack. He usually has an attack a couple of times during the year which is controlled with his breathing treatments. But this asthma attack left me scared when his breathing treatment wasn't working and he was still experiencing chest pains and dizziness. Thanks goodness the ER took him in right away. After giving him steroids for his lungs and an hour long breathing treatment, he felt a lot better.

Somehow I managed to make him laugh while he was on the nebulizer. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I'm in a room full of medical instruments. I can't help but touch everything and see how it works! It was like a scene from a comedy show- me fumbling with the instruments and Moe looking on with a horrified and anxious look that I would get caught. After I managed to put everything in order, Moe began to relax that I didn't break anything. When I finally sat down, we looked at each other and burst into laughter.

Moe said to me, "Mom, don't make me laugh anymore." "I have a mask over my face and I'm supposed to relax."

I had a very solemn look on my face and replied, "Okay I promise I won't touch anything."

Then we look at each other again and went into hysterics. The laughing continued for another several minutes.

It is definitely one visit to the ER that we'll never forget.

The first six months of 2010 were hard, but with Fall approaching- I can't help but think that there are more good things to come.

You DO have great things happening! congrats to Moe starting school. That will be an adventure. I'm glad you and RM have a little bit more time together. I love those little rituals that keep us going and make the day seem less routine!

When ever I read your blog, I can't help but hope that one day my boys and I will have a reletionship similiar to yours and your boy Moe. You guys are so darling. I'm glad he is okay! Sounds scary. Kyle has a tiny bit of asthma, but nothing scary and even if he needs a breathing treatment I freak out!

Sounds like even though you were in the emergency room you made the best of it. Glad to see you are back!

Definitely GOOD things to come. I have missed you : )
So glad Moe is starting school! I think that is the SMARTEST way to do it. Jr. college in the beginning and then a regular school at the end! : )
