I try to post at least once or twice a week, but as I mentioned before it's been one helluva busy summer! Here is quick recap of what has happened for the month of July:

- I lost a total of 8 pounds on July 31st!
- I lost one inch on the hips, & waist (and my butt is looking smaller, yippee!)
- I haven't binged in over 2 weeks.
- And this week, I lost 2 lbs which is a total of 10lbs since July 1!

I have been losing weight very slowly and have averaged about 2 pounds a week which is perfect for me. In the past I would lose weight quickly and put back the pounds just as fast. Have I been perfect in my diet? Of course not! I think I have more imperfect days than I do "perfect" days.

One of my problems is that when I lose weight, I feel so good I want to celebrate...by eating! I've been learning how to celebrate without using food. The biggest lesson that I have learned this summer is realizing that I am NEVER going to be perfect in a diet. I will always have a slip up, but the key question is, 'will I let the slip up become a major down fall?'

And the answer is a loud and resounding "NO!" The success to being fit and healthy is to get right up, dust yourself off, and get back on the saddle no matter how many times you fall!

I miss by bloggy friends and I know that once my son starts school next week, I'll be able to post more and visit your blogs. Have a great week!
